Halifax in deadlock over health and safety
HALIFAX (Canadian OH&S News) - Halifax's fire department and its unionized firefighters remain in a deadlock as approximately 15 fire stations in suburban and rural areas of the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) continue their refusal to answer calls. The work refusal, which began on June 24, centers on the health and safety issue of the number of firefighters to be dispatched to the scene of a fire. READ MORE
