Hamilton fire trucks now equipped with EpiPens

Dec. 23, 2016, Hamilton, Ont. - The equipment on all Hamilton Fire Department trucks now includes EpiPens (epinephrine auto injectors). The fire department says all firefighters have been trained to administer the EpiPens to patients who have a known history of severe allergic reaction or anaphylaxis, or who have a history of being prescribed an EpiPen by their physician.
