Highway fire calls proving costly

Oct. 28, 2015, Lincoln, Ont. - Lincoln firefighters were dispatched to over 70 calls on the QEW last year but the municipality was reimbursed for less than half. The volunteer fire department, which responds to the busy stretch of highway from Grimsby to St. Catharines, is joining a chorus of departments in Ontario who want the Ministry of Transportation to change its billing system.
