Lacombe fire department to stop responding to medical calls

Jan. 31, 2013, Edmonton – The Lacombe fire department will no longer be first responders to medical emergencies when an ambulance is late arriving at a scene, following a unanimous vote by the city’s mayor and council this week. The Edmonton Journal reports.
