London council approves fire department budget increase
Feb. 3, 2014, London, Ont. - Politicians have voted to give the London fire department half the 2014 budget increase it had requested. London Fire was seeking a 4 per cent hike in funding, which would have added
$2.18 million and brought the city’s fire budget to $56.7 million.
Instead, city council voted unanimously to hand over a 2 per cent increase. The London Free Press reports.
