Milton firefighter appreciation day champs

Team Firestorm - (left) Jessica Evans, Meredee Shaw, Britney Holmberg and Fire Fighting in Canada editor Laura King claimed the women's title in the Crossfit-FirePower Firefigher Appreciation Day in Milton, Ont., on Saturday, in support of the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Twenty-five teams of competitors in men's, women's and co-ed divisions were challenged in three lengthy, physically demanding events/obstacles. The event, run by FirePower Training's George and Andrea Savard, offered families and friends of firefighters an opportunity to experience the physical challenges of fire fighting.
