Ottawa fire chief receives Diversity and Inclusion Award

Ottawa Fire Chief John deHooge was honoured Wednesday by city council with the 2013 Diversity and Inclusion Award. The award recognizes a city employee who demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering a positive and respectful work environment and who provide services that reflect the city's diversity. DeHooge received the award from Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson (second from left) and city manager Kent Kirkpatrick (right), along with Steve Kanellakos, deputy city manager of operations (left), and Councillor Marianne Wilkinson (centre).
