Owen Sounds hires new deputy chief
July 17, 2017, Owen Sound, Ont. - The City of Owen Sound has hired a new deputy fire chief, after the position sat empty for more than seven months. Michael Clark, who was previously the fire chief in Brampton, is to begin his new role with the city on July 24, according to a news release from city hall. Clark served as a firefighter for 20 years and has also worked as a training officer, assistant division chief of training, division chief of training and deputy fire chief. He won the fire chief of the year award from the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs in 2016. The Owen Sound Sun Times reports. | READ MORE
