Police investigating fatal Thursday-morning fire

Oct. 11, 2013, London, Ont. – London police, the Ontario Fire Marshal and the Coroner's Office continue to investigate the early morning blaze that left one person dead in London.

Yesterday's fire also sent two people to hospital where they were in critical condition.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for today, and police say the name of the victim is being withheld until they have the post mortem results and have notified next of kin.

The 15 storey building is home to mostly low-income and disabled seniors, all of whom were evacuated shortly early yesterday when fire broke out on the second floor.
