Jan. 24, 2011 - The Port Hardy Volunteer Fire Department in B.C. under deputy chief Schell Nickerson took delivery in January of a Hub Fire Engines & Equipment-built rescue unit. Built on a GMC C5550 four-wheel drive chassis and powered by an Allison 1000 EVS transmission and a Duramax 6.6L 330-hp diesel engine, the truck is equipped with a 250 IG co-poly water tank, a Whelen Light package, OnSpot tire chains, Bostrom SCBA seats, a Warn winch, PAC Cylinder Mate SCBE storage, Zico Quic ladder, Smart Power hydraulic generator and a Command Light light tower.
