Three professional firefighters stuck in part-time roles as union negotiations go to arbitration in Charlottetown

Nov. 15, 2023, Charlottetown – Three full-time professional firefighters have been hired in Charlottetown, but a year-long contract dispute between the firefighters’ union and city hall has kept them from taking on their new roles. Charlottetown announced the new positions in the spring of 2022 and hired the new firefighters about a year later.
