Waterloo’s Dwayne Drover wins world title
Waterloo firefighter and perennial Firefit competitor Dwayne Drover won the World Firefighter Combat Challenge in Las Vegas last weekend, leading a field of Canadians who took top honours at the international competition.

Nov. 25, 2009, Waterloo, Ont. – Waterloo firefighter and perennial Firefit competitor Dwayne Drover won the World Firefighter
Combat Challenge in Las Vegas last weekend, leading a field of Canadians who took top honours at the international competition.
Fredericton, N.B., firefighter Ryan Hallam was second with a time of
1:28:76, barely off Drover's 1:26:51. Graham MacKenzie of Kamloops,
B.C., was third at 1:29:34 and two-time Canadian champion Joe Triff of
Halifax came fourth at 1:29:66.
Canadians also won the team event and Jacqueline Rosenberg of York
Region Fire Department in Ontario won the women's title. The Record.com
