We did it! As promised, our revamped website is up and running, albeit with a few technical glitches! Still, we’re excited to introduce our web-exclusive writers and features and we’re anxious to hear what you think.

Fire Fighting in Canada columnist Peter Sells promised to spark some feedback with his FlashPoint column in the magazine and his contributions so far, on seatbelts, and two hatters, have done just that. Check out Pete’s new blog on our home page and feel free to post your responses. We look forward to some positive and hard-hitting discussion.

We’re also delighted to introduce Upsala Fire Chief Tim Beebe’s new Spontaneous Combustion web column, an often humorous look at the travails of life in the fire hall. Tim’s experience, comedic streak and fine writing make for a great read. We’ll post Tim’s columns as often as he can churn them out.

In addition, we’re boosting our training department with columns on fitness and nutrition by Leduc, Alta., firefighter Brad Lawrence, whose expertise is already well known in his department.

Our home page will serve as the news centre for the Canadian fire service with items posted each morning and throughout the day as developments occur. We hope you’ll check in early and often!

We’re working hard to perfect the rest of the website (past issues, archives, etc.) so please bear with us while we iron out the kinks.

In the meantime, enjoy our new columnists and check in regularly for news updates.

Fill out the comments form below or e-mail me with your thoughts and suggestions at lking@annexweb.com.

I look forward to hearing from you!
