Finance committee approves fire budget increase

Dec. 11, 2019, Winnipeg – The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service will exceed its 2019 budget by $1.1 million. Council’s finance committee voted in favour of the extra funding Wednesday, which the service said is needed to cover increased salary and vehicle maintenance costs, as well as an inability to meet expense management targets set in this year’s budget.
