Moncton tops in Atlantic MDC fundraising

September 2006 – NEW BRUNSWICK – Moncton fire fighters have been named top fundraising department in Atlantic Canada in the fight against muscular dystrophy. They alone succeeded in raising $44,425 this past year.
Under the leadership of Fire Fighter Steve Richardson, the Moncton department supported MDC through a variety of very successful events.
“MDC is very grateful for the dedication and commitment of Moncton fire fighters in support of our cause,” said Kim Barbour, MDC district co-ordinator, Atlantic Region.
“It’s a credit to our team and the quality people we have,” said Fire Chief Eric Arsenault. “It is a pleasure to take part in this worthwhile cause.”
