New PPE from Canadian Safety Equipment

July 7, 2011 – Canadian Safety Equipment has added several new products to its line of personal protective equipment:

  • The Fire-Dex line of leather boots features a multi-density footbed with an engineered orthotic sock liner to dramatically reduce foot, leg and back fatigue. Toe and heel spring reduces or eliminates impact zones and creates a proper walking pattern.
  • Designed to be worn under bunker gear, Counter-Fire t-shirts are made of Pro-Fil material – a flame-resistant wicking fabric that won’t melt or drip.
  • Fireman's Shield gloves are certified by NFPA for the new NFPA 1971-2007 Edition for Structure Fire Fighting standard. The Fireman's Shield gloves’ main heat protection comes from their Kovenex, not the leather. This exclusive design yields a thinner, softer glove without compromising thermal protection.
