No injuries in Toronto Zoo fire

Feb. 18, 2014, Toronto – The Toronto Zoo says no animals were endangered by a one-alarm blaze on the grounds Tuesday afternoon.

Spokeswoman Cynthia Shipley says the fire is located at two wooden storage structures "not accessible to the public or animals."

Fire Capt. David Eckerman says the structures are isolated and at the bottom of a valley.

He says fire crews have been slowed down by snow drifts four feet deep.

Eckerman says there's no risk of the blaze spreading and crews are letting the fires burn out.
