One person airlifted to hospital after Alberta crash

Feb. 14, 2013, Spruce Grove, Alta. – An air ambulance has taken a person from a car crash involving an RCMP cruiser west of Edmonton to hospital.

In a message posted on the Parkland County Facebook page, the Stony Plain fire department says the two-vehicle crash happened at a rural intersection.

The message says one of the vehicles at the scene, about 10 kilometres south of Spruce Grove, belonged to the RCMP.

Cam Heke with STARS air ambulance says one person was airlifted to the University of Alberta hospital in Edmonton.

But he doesn't know who that person is or what condition he or she may be in.
