Seniors evacuated after fire
Feb. 25, 2008, Edmonton - Sixty-seven seniors were taken to an Edmonton hotel Friday after their apartment building caught fire.

They evacuated the building, and the seniors were taken to the hotel by city bus.
The complex, Brittania Gardens, houses low- and middle-income seniors. Investigators determined that the exterior wall of the largely wooden building ignited as the workers were using the torch to heat
The west part of the building's roof collapsed in the blaze.
No injuries were reported, but 16 suites have significant damage.
